Chess has proven to be a wonderful learning tool as well as a way to bring people together. Chess is a game that helps develop mental skills such as patience, planning, and strategy. These skills prove to be just as valuable in daily life as it is in the game. Chess is a game that is so universally cherished that it often crosses cultural barriers. For many young chess players, the Junior Orange Bowl International Chess Championship is the perfect opportunity to test their skills against players from different backgrounds, as well as sharpen their mental skills.
