2008 GIRLS QUALIFYING CRITERIA


The tournament is an invitation only event.  You are eligible for an invitation (for review by the selection committee) by achieving one of the following:

                        1) Top 5 from previous year 2007 tournament
                        2) Top 8 USGA Junior Girls
                        3) Winners (18 & under group of tournaments listed in the Golfweek
                            Performance Index 1 thru 10 as of September 1st.
                        4) Winners (18 & under group) of these junior golf events:  
                            Junior World; Westfield PGA Jr., Insurance Agent Junior Classic;
                            Women's Wester Jr., Doral-Publix, Verison Junior Heritage, Optimist Junior,
                            Scott Robertson Memorial. AJGA Polo, AJGA Rolex, AJGA Rolex Girls;
                            FCWT Championship, Junior All Star (12-15) Invitational (year end)
                        5) Top 10 Golfweek  ranking as of August 1.
                        6) Top 10 Jr. Golf Scoreboard as of July 31.
                        7) Top 5 AJGA Polo Rankings as of September 1
                        8) Foreign National Champion (Selected by their golf federation)


            Criteria to keep in mind about our tournament:
                        *  Must not have reached their 19th birthday by December 30, 2008
                            and not participating on a College/University team.
                        *  Total / maxium 39 girls represneting the US and Foriegn
                             Countries.
                        *  We do not have age categories and there is no cut during the
                            Championship.
                        *  Invitations are sent out Mid August.
